The HighPower™
Solar Array concept can be applied to terrestrial power
generation needs for commercial, industrial or residential
uses. The figure on the left shows one residential concept.
Note that the solar panels are shown suspended inside
a transparent structure that could be on top of a building
or freestanding on the ground. For this situation, it
is not necessary to include the cables to deploy or
to restow the panels. The assembly of solar panels could
alternately be arranged in a variety of other configurations.
For example, the solar panel array arrangement could
be suspended in a large glassed south-facing wall of
an office building as shown in the figure on the right.
In addition to providing some power, it could act as
a slowly moving piece of art. |
